GSPlayIPTV

Frequently asked questions

Short answers about the player, the free trial, the one-time payment and playlists. If yours is not here, the help page lists what to send us.

01Does GSPlay IPTV come with channels?

No. It is a player and nothing else: no channels, no playlists and no media of any kind ship with the app. You load a playlist you already have from your own provider. If you do not have one, GSPlay IPTV cannot give you one.

02How does the free trial work?

The first time the app is opened on a device, a 14-day trial starts by itself. Everything is unlocked during that time, there is nothing to sign up for and no card is asked for. The trial belongs to the device, so every device gets its own.

03What does the one-time payment of €4.90 include?

It activates one device for as long as that device lives. One payment, no subscription, no renewal, nothing to cancel later. A second TV needs its own trial and its own activation.

04How do I add my playlist?

Open My playlist on this site, enter the Device ID and pick one of three sources: upload an .m3u or .m3u8 file up to 30 MB, paste the playlist URL your provider gave you, or sign in with Xtream Codes using host, username and password. A device holds up to 5 playlists and you switch between them in the app on the TV.

05Where do I find the Device ID?

The app shows it on the start screen while no playlist is loaded, and always under Settings → Device. It reads like AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF. On Android it is derived from the identifier of the device itself, so reinstalling the app keeps the same ID — a factory reset creates a new one.

06I reset my TV or replaced it. Do I pay again?

No. Both cases produce a new Device ID, so use the Transfer page: enter the old ID, the new ID and either the order number from your receipt or the e-mail you paid with. Open the app on the new device first so that it registers. An activation can be moved to a new device once every two years.

07The programme guide is empty, or an hour out.

For file and URL playlists the guide comes from the XMLTV address you enter next to the playlist; leave it empty and there is no guide. Xtream lines set their guide up on their own. When programmes appear at the wrong time the guide is published in a different time zone — correct it with Guide time shift under Settings → Program guide in the app.

08A channel will not play.

Try a second channel first. If nothing plays at all, the line is usually the cause: most providers allow only one or two connections at a time, and another device — or this app still running somewhere else — is holding the slot. If only some channels fail, switch Video decoder between Hardware and Software and raise Buffer size under Settings → Playback. Multicast addresses starting with udp:// or rtp:// only work on a local network with a udpxy gateway.

09Which devices can I use?

Android phones and tablets, and Android TV or Google TV — those exist today. The Samsung Tizen version is still being built and is not released. LG webOS, iPhone and Apple TV are planned, with no date. There is nothing to install on any other platform.

10Can I get a refund?

That is what the 14 free days are for: try the app with your own playlist before paying anything. Once an activation is paid for it is not refunded, because at checkout you ask for it to be delivered immediately and waive the 14-day withdrawal right. If a payment went wrong — it never arrived, it unlocked the wrong device, or you were charged twice — write to us with the order number from your receipt and we will put it right.

11None of this helps. How do I reach a human?

By e-mail. The help page explains which four details make the first message enough to work from — the Device ID above all.
